Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactWhile I haven't read the book it is based on, I really like the way you utilize the imagery in the page.
Getting it out of the way quickly, I rated the lowest on originality (though still put it in the middle range) simply because it is an adaptation. I can't really rate to much on the originality of the adaptation itself because this is only the first page and I haven't read the book.
Now I had to grade well for both vision and technique on this The utilization of blacks, especially with the little people coming out of the mouth great. Even thought, they are just emerging, based on the movement created through the drawing there is a sense of uneasy emotion coming from the little people.
Because of that successful display, the impact was pretty good and has definitely interested me in continuing on.
